In this role, you will act as a key finance business partner to Operations and Procurement, taking ownership of the end-to-end costing process while providing critical analysis and control across manufacturing costs, inventory rates, budgeting, CAPEX, and fixed assets.Key Responsibilities\nSet, maintain, and periodically review standard unit costs for each product.\nReview work orders and compare projected costs against actual production costs to identify variances.\nAnalyze cost variances related to materials, production efficiency, labor, and overhead, and investigate root causes.\nPrepare monthly variance analysis, findings, and recommendations for management.\nValidate Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and coordinate changes with Operations to ensure cost structures remain current.\nSupport the preparation, tracking, and management of operational budgets for cost centers.\nPrepare cost projections and forecasts to support business planning.\nMonitor actual spending against budget and flag material deviations.\nOwn CAPEX tracking from request and approval through to capitalization.\nManage fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation, including maintaining the fixed asset register.\nCoordinate physical fixed asset verification and reconciliation of the fixed asset register.\nPartner with Operations and Procurement on cost-saving initiatives, scrap/disposal reduction, and pricing strategy input.\nSupport Finance projects, ERP upgrades, and system enhancements related to costing and fixed asset modules.\nAct as a review and control checkpoint for inventory costing outputs prepared by the Accountant, Inventory and Costing.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.\n5–10 years of experience in cost accounting or financial controlling within a manufacturing plant environment.\nStrong understanding of costing, variance analysis, BOM structures, and manufacturing cost structures.\nWorking knowledge of CAPEX processes, asset capitalization, and depreciation accounting.\nExperience with ERP systems and cost management processes;
