Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, this role enables the successful delivery of Data & AI products by providing the technology foundations, data pipelines, platform services, and architecture guidance required across the organization. The role acts as the senior technology counterpart to IT teams, enterprise architecture, security, and external technology partners, ensuring scalable and compliant solutions are delivered. Working closely with Product Managers and engineering teams, the Data Engineering & Platform Lead drives platform innovation, operational excellence, and modern engineering practices. If you’re ready to make an impact and grow in a global team, JDE Peet’s is the place for you.\nFor this role as a Data Engineering & Platform Lead, we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:\nBachelor's or Master's degree and extensive experience in data engineering, platform engineering and/or solution architecture, including leadership of engineering teams.\nDeep expertise across modern Data & AI platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, SAP integration technologies and cloud-native data architectures.\nStrong experience with data engineering practices, SQL, Python, Spark, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps and platform automation.\nProven experience defining architecture standards and translating complex technical decisions into business value for senior stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of MLOps, AI platform operations, cloud security, governance, cost management and compliance requirements.\nExcellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to drive innovation while balancing architectural integrity and delivery speed.\n Your application at JDE Peet's\nIf you are interested in this career opportunity at JDE Peet's, apply and join us.
