The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, implementing Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions, developing data models and supporting governed, reliable and AI-ready data platforms.\nThe ideal candidate should be comfortable working with architects, engineering teams and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and production-ready data solutions.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nDesign and develop data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse and Data Factory pipelines.\nBuild and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and incremental data processing.\nDevelop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, SQL, Python and/or PySpark.\nImplement Medallion Architecture using Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.\nWork with Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse for enterprise data processing and analytics.\nDevelop and maintain data models, tables, views and optimized SQL queries.\nBuild and support semantic models for Power BI and analytical workloads.\nImplement data quality, validation, monitoring and error-handling mechanisms.\nWork with metadata, lineage and governance requirements using Microsoft Purview.\nImplement data security, access controls and role-based permissions across data platforms.\nSupport Data Product and domain-oriented data architecture principles.\nFollow DataOps practices including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and production support.\nTroubleshoot pipeline failures, performance issues and data quality problems.\nOptimize data pipelines, queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.\nWork closely with Data Architects and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.\nParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews and architecture reviews.\nMaintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams and pipeline documentation.\nSupport production deployments, incident resolution and SLA-driven data platform operations.\nIdentify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted improvements across data engineering processes.\nQualifications and Skills\n6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration or Data Platform development.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.\nExperience with:\nMicrosoft Fabric Lakehouse\nFabric Warehouse\nOneLake\nFabric Data Factory / Pipelines\nSemantic Models\nStrong understanding of Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture.\nStrong SQL development and query optimization skills.\nHands-on experience with Python and/or PySpark.\nExperience developing enterprise ETL/ELT and data integration pipelines.\nExperience with batch and incremental data processing.\nUnderstanding of data modelling concepts including dimensional modelling.\nKnowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage and data governance.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Purview.\nUnderstanding of Data Mesh and Data Product concepts.\nExperience with CI/CD, version control, monitoring and DataOps practices.\nUnderstanding of cloud security, access controls and data privacy.\nGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work with distributed and client-facing teams.\nPreferred Skills\nMicrosoft Fabric or Azure Data certifications.\nExperience migrating workloads from Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Databricks or other data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.\nExperience implementing Medallion Architecture on Microsoft Fabric.\nExperience with Power BI and semantic modelling.\nExposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or Agentic AI use cases on enterprise data platforms.\nExperience working with Data Products or domain-oriented data solutions.\nExperience in Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, Financial Services or Insurance.\nExperience working with US or international enterprise clients.\nWhat We Expect\nThe ideal candidate should be hands-on first and capable of independently building, troubleshooting and optimizing Fabric data solutions.
