For more information, visit JadeBiosciences.com and follow the Company on LinkedIn.\nRole Overview \nWe are looking for a Director, Business Development who willmove fluidly across the full spectrum of business development activity including opportunity evaluation, diligence, deal structuring, transaction execution, and partnership governanceandwho brings the same level of rigor to a valuation model as they do to a board presentation. This position reports to the CFO. \nKey Responsibilities \nLead or play a central role in all business development activities, including evaluation and execution of in-licensing opportunities, out-licensing, co-development and co-commercialization agreements, research collaborations and platform partnerships, option-based deals, key supply agreements, geographic licensing arrangements, and joint ventures or other structured transactions. \nCoordinate cross-functional diligence processes involving R&D, technical operations/CMC, clinical, regulatory, legal, IP, finance, commercial, and executive leadership. \nDevelop business cases, valuation frameworks, competitive assessments, and transaction rationale to support internal decision-making. \nStructure, negotiate, and finalize term sheets, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, and definitive agreements in collaboration with legal and executive leadership. \nSupport preparation of presentations and recommendations for senior management, executive committees, and the Board of Directors. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with biotechnology peers, pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions. \nServe as a key point of contact for existing and prospective partners, representing the company with professionalism, credibility, and strategic insight. \nSupport alliance transition and post-signing governance as needed to help ensure successful execution of strategic collaborations. \nPartner closely with internal leaders across research, development, manufacturing, commercial, finance, legal, intellectual property, investor relations, and corporate strategy. \nHelp drive internal alignment on external opportunities by synthesizing complex scientific, clinical, strategic, operational, and financial considerations. \nContribute to broader corporate planning efforts, including portfolio prioritization discussions, long range planning and strategic reviews. \nDevelop financial frameworks to properly analyze potential transactions. \nQualifications \nBachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in business development within biotech or life sciences, with a strong focus on technology licensing, research collaborations, and strategic transactions; MBA, MD or PhD preferred \nDeep understanding of the scientific, clinical, and regulatory dynamics that drive value in therapeutic development, with the ability to engage credibly with R&D and development teams \nProven track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex transactions, demonstrating strong strategic judgment and financial and transactional acumen \nHighly effective at synthesizing large amounts of scientific, clinical, and financial information into clear, compelling recommendations for senior leadership \nDemonstrated ability to operate with executive-level visibility and discretion, managing confidential processes across internal and external stakeholders \nStrong cross-functional instincts and the ability to build alignment across diverse teams without losing momentum \nPosition Location \nThis is a remote role; periodic travel to team and company events is required. \nThe anticipated salary range for candidates for this role is $250 - $275k.
