The role also provides service, maintenance, and technical support for diving systems and equipment, ensuring safe and effective operation in line with industry best practice.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nDeliver engaging classroom and practical training, using effective teaching and assessment methods to ensure learners gain the knowledge, skills, and understanding required. \nContinuously maintain and develop your technical expertise by keeping up to date with product documentation, industry guidance, and relevant legislation. \nReview and enhance training content to ensure courses reflect industry best practice and the latest technical developments. \nCollaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to develop new training courses and expand JFD's training capability. \nPrepare, maintain, and update training materials, resources, and equipment to support an effective learning experience. \nEnsure sufficient course materials, tools, and supplies are available for students to maximise participation and practical learning opportunities.\nWhat we're looking for:\nMechanical engineering qualification or equivalent technical background. \nExperience as a Dive Technician, with offshore experience considered advantageous. \nProven experience maintaining diving equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. \nStrong working knowledge of diving equipment, including helmets, regulators, rebreathers, diver reclaim systems, and associated life-support equipment. \nGood understanding of industry guidance and best practice, including IMCA and IOGP standards. \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and present to small groups. \nA passion for sharing knowledge and supporting the development of the next generation of dive technicians. \nTraining or instructional experience is desirable; however, full training can be provided for candidates with the right technical expertise, enthusiasm, and ability to communicate complex information effectively.\nWhy join us?\nEarly finish on Fridays \nCompetitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience (Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Cycle to work scheme, Company Pension, etc.) \nClear pathways for career development and organisational visibility \nInclusive and supportive culture that values individual contributions \nMeaningful work with impact across safety, innovation, and global operations \nAbout Us:\nJames Fisher is a global engineering services company operating across Energy, Defence, and Maritime Transport.
