Working with the Senior Quality Engineer and cross-functional partners, the intern will help further develop automated inspection methods, evaluate system performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve inspection effectiveness and manufacturing quality.\nBy the end of the internship, the intern will:\nContribute to the continued development and expansion of inline automated inspection.\nApply statistical analysis and mechanical problem-solving skills to evaluate inspection performance and improvement opportunities.\nCollaborate effectively with Quality, Process Engineering, Operations, and Capital Engineering partners.\nWhat You'll Do\nAutomated Inspection Development\nSupport the Senior Quality Engineer in further developing and expanding inline automated inspection for decking.\nAssist with testing, data collection, and evaluation of inspection capabilities as the project scope develops.\nData and Performance Analysis\nAnalyze inspection and process data using appropriate statistical methods.\nDocument findings, issues, and improvement opportunities for review with the project team.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Quality, Process Engineering, Operations, and Capital Engineering to advance inspection capability.\nProvide clear progress updates and follow through on assigned actions and deliverables.\nWhat You'll Bring\nCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline at an accredited university, with an anticipated graduation between December 2027 and May 2029 (rising senior and rising junior).\nStrong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.\nAvailable to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.\nReliable transportation to and from the work location.\nAuthorization to work in the United States.\nPreferred Skills\nTarget majors: chemical engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering\nStrong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.\nStatistical analysis skills, including experience with Minitab or a similar tool.\nMechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability.\nStrong attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and follow-through.\n\nWhat You'll Receive\nAs of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $20 to $25 per hour.
