You will own ETL/ELT pipelines end-to-end, with equal focus on data quality and reliability.\nLocation - Remote 100%\nCompensation - Salary\nWork Schedule - Full time/ Flexible working hours\nReports to - Team Lead\nMember of - Engineering Team\nTo be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:\n4+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related discipline\n\nStrong proficiency in SQL\n\nStrong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java)\n\nHands-on experience building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines in a production environment\n\nExperience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)\n\nExperience with modern data warehousing tools\n\nSolid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and pipeline orchestration concepts\n\nComfort working with large, complex datasets and diagnosing data issues independently\n\nIdeal candidates will also have:\nExperience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar\n\nFamiliarity with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis)\n\nExperience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks\n\nExposure to infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform)\n\nPrior experience supporting analytics or data science teams directly\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from a variety of internal and external sources\n\nDevelop and optimize data models and schemas that support analytics, reporting, and downstream application needs\n\nMonitor pipeline health and troubleshoot data quality issues\n\nImplement alerting and observability practices\n\nPartner with analytics, product, and engineering teams to understand data needs and translate them into durable data solutions\n\nImprove performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of existing data infrastructure\n\nWrite clear technical documentation\n\nContribute to team standards for testing, code review, and deployment\n\nParticipate in on-call or incident response rotations as needed to support production data systems\n\nWhy join Janea?
