Based in Sydney, the role works with regional and global colleagues to deliver accurate and timely information for investment teams, client reporting and internal stakeholders. The position is focused on hands-on analysis, data quality and issue resolution within a global operating model.\nValidate and review daily, monthly and periodic investment performance returns and attribution outputs.\nInvestigate performance, attribution and benchmark exceptions, documenting root causes and coordinate timely resolution.\nPerform reasonability checks on portfolio and composite returns, contribution analysis and attribution results, producing clear supporting analysis for unusual or material performance movements.\nSupport the accurate delivery of data used in client reports, factsheets, investment reviews and internal reporting.\nRespond to performance queries from Investment, Product, Client Reporting and Operations teams, escalating complex matters as appropriate.\nMaintain process documentation in line with internal standards.\nContribute to data quality improvements, automation and the reduction of manual processing.\nAssist with testing and implementation of platform, methodology and reporting changes where required.\nWork collaboratively across the region and the wider global Performance, Accounting, Data and Technology teams.\nCarry out other duties as assigned.\nWhat to expect when you join our firm\nHybrid working and reasonable accommodations\nPaid volunteer time to step away from your desk and into the community\nSupport to grow through professional development courses, tuition/qualification reimbursement and more\nMaternal/paternal leave benefits\nComplimentary subscription to Headspace - the mindfulness app\nCorporate membership to ClassPass and other health and well-being benefits\nAll employee events including networking opportunities and social activities\nMust have skills\nExperience in investment performance, attribution, fund accounting, investment operations or a related analytical role.\nWorking knowledge of investment return calculations, benchmarks and basic attribution concepts.\nGood understanding of NAV, valuation and market data and how they affect performance results.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to investigate data exceptions.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with large data sets.\nAbility to manage recurring deadlines and prioritise tasks in a controlled operational environment.\nClear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain analysis to non-specialists.\nCollaborative approach and willingness to work across functions, locations and time zones.\nRelevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience in finance, economics, mathematics, accounting or a related discipline.\nNice to have skills\nExperience with performance investment platforms such as Aladdin, FactSet, Bloomberg or Morningstar.\nExposure to multi-asset, equity, fixed income or alternative investment strategies.\nKnowledge of GIPS principles or broader investment performance reporting standards.\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or other data and automation tools.\nProgress toward, or interest in, a relevant professional qualification such as CFA, CIPM or CPA.\nSupervisory responsibilities\nNo\nPotential for growth\nMentoring\nLeadership development programs\nRegular training\nCareer development services\nContinuing education courses\nYou will be expected to understand the regulatory obligations of the firm, and abide by the regulated entity requirements and JHI policies applicable for your role.\nAt Janus Henderson Investors we’re committed to an inclusive and supportive environment.
