You cannot be on a current performance improvement plan or written warning for any reason and must have been in your current role for a minimum of 6 months, unless otherwise approved for an early transfer by your current leader and the People Department.\nYour opportunity\nThis role will focus on Cyber Incident Response and Vulnerability Management\nIncident response and management\nPerform alert triage of security alerts to validate and prioritise incidents.\nDetermine severity, impact, and root cause of incidents using MSSP and internal tools.\nConduct initial triage and assessment of incidents to determine severity and impact.\nMonitor and respond to security alerts and events generated by security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, email, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems, in a timely manner meeting SLAs.\nPerform routine reviews of IAM to identify and address abuse of permissions by authorised users.\nMonitor for policy violations and report suspicious user behaviour.\nAssist in isolating affected systems to contain threats under supervision.\nReporting, documentation, and communication\nWork notes and artefact logging in ITSM (ServiceNow / Confluence) incident tickets.\nFacilitate handovers to other SOC team members at the end of a shift, ensuring a smooth transition of ongoing incidents.\nProvide clear and timely updates to other SOC members and escalation points.\nSeek guidance from and escalate where necessary to Mid-level Tier 2 analysts.\nVulnerability Management\nSupport daily security operations, by conducting regular vulnerability scans, analyze resulting reports and triage identified issues to ensure timely risk mitigation.
