The role focuses on day-to-day operational execution, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trades are processed in line with operational controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.\nThe Trade Operations Analyst contributes across Trade Affirmation & Capture, Settlement & Cashflows, and Listed Trade Operations, with opportunities to gain exposure to more complex products and operational initiatives over time.\nTrade Lifecycle Processing\nPerform trade affirmation and capture activities, ensuring trades are accurately reflected in internal systems\nSupport settlement and cashflow processing, ensuring timely and accurate completion across asset classes\nMonitor daily trade flows and follow established procedures to ensure smooth end-to-end processing\nIssue Resolution & Controls\nInvestigate and resolve trade breaks, mismatches, settlement issues, and cash discrepancies in a timely manner\nEscalate complex or high-risk issues in line with defined procedures\nMaintain strong attention to data quality, reconciliations, and operational controls\nStakeholder Interaction\nLiaise with traders, brokers, custodians, and internal teams to support efficient trade processing\nRespond to internal and external queries professionally and within agreed service levels\nBuild effective working relationships within Operations, and Front Office, Technology, and external counterparties\nOperational Excellence\nEnsure all activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements\nContribute to the documentation and maintenance of operational procedures\nIdentify process inefficiencies or recurring issues and raise improvement ideas to senior team members\nChange & Development\nSupport operational projects, system enhancements, and process improvements as required\nParticipate in testing activities related to new systems, products, or process changes\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support the broader Trade Operations function\nCarry out other duties as assigned\nWhat to expect when you join our firm\nHybrid working and reasonable accommodations\nPaid volunteer time to step away from your desk and into the community\nSupport to grow through professional development courses, tuition/qualification reimbursement and more\nMaternal/paternal leave benefits\nComplimentary subscription to Headspace - the mindfulness app\nCorporate membership to ClassPass and other health and well-being benefits\nAll employee events including networking opportunities and social activities\nMust have skills\nTrade Operations Expertise: Significant experience across the full trade life cycle including trade affirmation & capture, settlement & cashflows\nSystem knowledge: Knowledge of a selection of market utilities, e.g. CTM, SWIFT, CLS, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess; experience with Aladdin desirable\nOperational Control: Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements\nProcess Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and mitigate risk\nStakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners\nTeam-Oriented and Client-Focused: A strong sense of teamwork and a consistent focus on meeting client needs, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction\nEducational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field\nNice to have skills\nExposure to listed or OTC derivatives processing, including confirmations, lifecycle events, or settlements\nFamiliarity with derivatives-related concepts such as margin, collateral, expiries, or corporate actions\nCommunication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with stakeholders at all levels\nApproachable and Open-Minded: Known for being approachable and open-minded, creating an inclusive and supportive work environment\nClient Interaction: Liaise with clients, brokers, and custodians to resolve any operational issues\nSupervisory responsibilities\nNo\nPotential for growth\nMentoring\nLeadership development programs\nRegular training\nCareer development services\nContinuing education courses\nYou will be expected to understand the regulatory obligations of the firm, and abide by the regulated entity requirements and JHI policies applicable for your role.\nAt Janus Henderson Investors we’re committed to an inclusive and supportive environment.
