Must ensure adherence to all laws and legal regulations, provide excellent customer service, manage on-site staff, optimize productivity, grow the business, monitor all financial matters and support sales staff as needed.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :\nExceed customer expectations by providing highest possible service quality to customers.\n\nOptimize branch transactions, increase sales and decrease costs.\n\nOptimize staffing productivity to assume best use of all resources.\n\nResponsible for strong growth within designated geographical area and maximal utilization of business potential.\n\nContinuously strive for high productivity, competitive efficiency and best quality.\n\nFully adhere to all defined ISO (International Organization for Standardization) policies and standards and to local law.\n\nResponsible for P&L including activities in the field of accounting, financial controlling and strategic planning.\n\nPrepare yearly local budget including investments and staffing.\n\nDevelop and expand customer relationships together with sales.\n\nResponsible for implementation and maintenance of standardized processes, structures and systems according to corporate guidelines.\n\nResponsible for management of all personnel and HR matters including staff training and planning in cooperation with Human Resources (HR).\n\nEnsure company's Code of Conduct is fully enforced and followed by employees.\n\nAccompany Sales calls as needed.\n\nFinancial Management: AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable) and FSL (Forward Stocking Location).\n\nOperations Management.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe incumbent will directly and/or indirectly supervise up to 50 employees.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nDemonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans and drive execution.\n\nProven leadership and people management experience, including recruitment, training and development, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both open and confidential settings.\n\nSound decision-making capabilities with a high level of accountability and ownership.\n\nResults-driven with a strong customer-focused mindset.\n\nAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate resources across teams and organizational boundaries.\n\nServes as a role model aligned with JAS corporate values.\n\nHighly organized with strong time management skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.\n\nDetail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nSelf-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\n\nMinimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.\n\nMinimum of ten (10) years of experience within the freight forwarding industry.\n\nStrong financial acumen, experience managing P&L.\n\nExperience across air, ocean, and supply chain/logistics operations.\n\nKnowledge of market dynamics, competitors, trends, and challenges within the freight forwarding industry.\n\nExperience with CargoWise is a plus.\n\nAdditional international language skills are a plus.\n\nENVIRONMENT:\n100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 20%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
