In addition, this role provides customer service with regard to bookings, rates, document production, accounting, agent interaction and problem solving.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nPrepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all export activities\nCoordinate cargo pick up/transfer and monitor status\nCommunicate with export related authorities, customers and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities\nObtain spot rates when necessary\nCommunicate/correspond with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner, to include: pre-alerts, rate requests, shipment status, etc.\nTrack shipments and update customers/agents of status\nCreate and maintain customer files\nCreate customer invoice and approve payables\nAudit files to ensure accuracy and completion\nEnsure accurate data entry and document upload into the system\nAssist other departments/divisions as needed, or when requested by department or branch manager\nOther duties as assigned\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nNone\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum 3 years’ experience handling Exports (air and/or ocean) or combination of education and expertise required\nPreferred: Experience managing aerospace or aircraft engine exports with knowledge of applicable export control requirements and international shipping processes.\nExcellent organizational & communication skills\nFlexibility\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite a plus\nDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines\nAble to work in a team and independently\nKnowledge of US customs laws, practices and procedures\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nExperience handling the full life cycle of exports (air and/or ocean) or combination of education and expertise required\nExperience with aerospace or aircraft engine export shipments, including familiarity with industry-specific export regulations and documentation, is a plus.\nFluency in English required, additional languages preferred\nExperience in freight forwarding industry preferred\nENVIRONMENT:\n100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
