Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes\nRepresent the company as appropriate in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, commercial etc.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nConduct performance evaluations for export department staff\nRecommend hiring, firing and promotion\nIdentify and resolve personnel issues\nCreate an environment that encourages others to develop professionally\nMake sure employees are in compliance with organization policy, procedures and performance programs\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n·Excellent organizational and time management skills\nExcellent written and verbal skills\n\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (desirable)\nDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines\nSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independently\nUnderstanding of regulatory compliance with export rules and regulations\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.\n5+ years Air/Ocean export experience in a freight forwarding environment.\n2+ years’ experience supervising and developing staff.\nStrong customer service skills and outgoing personality. \nCargowise Experience is strongly preferred.\nUnderstanding Export Compliance Regulations.\nPossess working knowledge of accessing and using standard PC applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Internet).\nENVIRONMENT:\n100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
