Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.\nArea General Manager Central China is responsible for overseeing all aspects of management for the Central China (“the Region”) of JAS China.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nFormulate, implement, monitor and review business strategies within the Region.\nCommunicate with other Directors in National, Regional and Corporate levels in result for coordinating business strategies.\nHold profit and loss responsibility for all branches in the Region.\nSet up, monitor, review and improve operating procedures and KPIs for all departments.\nMaintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and improvements.\nResponsible for regular management reports and operational budget.\nEvaluate and implement required business tools for ensuring effective utilization for improving business process.\nDetermine organization structure, roles and responsibilities and performance targets of respective functions in accordance with Global guidelines, whenever applicable.\nManage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.\nUnderstand the government rules and regulations affecting daily operations, ensuring the Company is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority.\nDeal with general public, customers, unions and government officials.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: \nBranch Managers of Central China (Global Job Title: Branch Manager)\nConduct performance evaluation for direct reports\nRecommend hiring, firing and promotion\nIdentify and resolve personnel issues\nOngoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExcellent organizational (prioritize, plan, assign and control) and time management skills.\nStrong passion for accuracy\nExcellent written and verbal skills.\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.\nDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.\nSelf-motivated, able to work with a team and independently.\nUnderstanding of regulatory compliance with import and export rules and regulations.\nStrong analysis capability, good presentation and negotiation skill\nDemonstrated personal leadership skills\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nBilingual in English and Chinese (written and spoken)\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nDegree Holder in Business Management, Finance and/or Logistics.\nMinimum 10 years’ general management experience in international logistics/forwarding industry.\nGood knowledge of business and logistics market of Central China.\nPresentable with sound leadership, influential, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.\nENVIRONMENT:\n100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 30%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
