This role is responsible for supporting branch operational excellence, product initiatives, while driving operational, financial, and compliance objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nTechnical understanding of operational functions to ensure the branch remains compliant with JAS process and procedures as well as governmental standards.\nMeet company & customer established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).\nManagement of KPIs by utilizing the operational and financial dashboards.\nResponsible for managing operations distribution and workloads, to ensure client and contractual needs are met.\nAwareness of key import and export lanes and operations processes/requirements.\nWork closely with operations, sales, warehousing, and sales support teams to achieve the target budget.\nMaintain and grow relationships with customers and Carriers.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nManagement of KPIs by utilizing the operational and financial dashboards.\nManage Branch Workflow initiative adherence using PowerBI dashboard to enhance staff productivity.\nConduct performance evaluation for direct reports.\nPromote, enable, facilitate, and oversee the training of branch personnel, as well as confirming staff is current on training.\nIdentify and relay personnel issues to Branch Manager.\nOngoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\n7+ years of Freight Forwarding operations experience, handling air/ocean product, warehousing, and customs brokerage.\n5+ years of prior supervisory/managerial experience.\nHighly motivated leader who is adept at working in a competitive, challenging and fast-paced work environment.\nMust have advanced proficiency language (written and speaking).\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n7+ years of Freight Forwarding operations experience.\n5+ years of prior supervisory/managerial experience.\nMust have a firm working knowledge/experience handing air/ocean imports and exports.\nCargoWise (C1) experience is a plus.\nCustoms Brokerage experience is a plus.\nExcellent organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal skills\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.\nDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.\nSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.\nENVIRONMENT:\n100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
