The position works closely with clients, internal teams, carriers, and subcontractors to successfully manage complex project shipments, develop strategic relationships, and continuously improve service delivery and profitability.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \nSub-Contractors / Vendors\nTo identifypotential sub-contractor / vendor to support our capabilities.\n\nTo conduct due diligence to all sub-contractor/ vendorto ensure compliance.\n\nTo establishand maintaininggoodrelationship with sub-contractor / vendorfor better negotiation and quality of work.\n\nTo ensure JAS procedures and guidelines are followed at all timesincluding QHSSE, Transport Engineering, Ethical / Process Compliance.\n\nClient service levels, maintainingfirst in class operational and administrative procedures at all timesensuring high levelsof client satisfaction\n\nRecruitment of staff, personal development and welfare ensuring long term staff retention\n\nManaging HR & disciplinary matters in conjunction with JAS HR Departments\n\nIf instructed to do so sourcing and implementing new JP facilities throughout SEA\n\nBusiness Development\nCarry out aggressive and extensive business development with first, second and third tier clients within your Country, growing JP revenue and GP. Travelling is needed as and when it requires. Working closely with Business Development Manager - S.E. Asia.\n\nTo attend regular face to face meeting with Clients maintaining& growing relationship.\n\nTo upload WintouchReport after every meeting with Clients.\n\nTo share sales lead with JAS’s overseaoffices to widen our network.\n\nContractual & Financial Management of Project Business:\nManaging / monitoringfinancial forecasts, monitoringand managing accountreceivables and payables.\n\nKPI & Milestone management,work closely with Operation to ensure laid down Cargowiseprocesses are followed by all staff.\n\nImplementing and amending specific localized documents & procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures as required.\n\nMonitoring and reporting on: Ethical Conduct & Due Diligence, Transport Engineering requirements, Quality, Health and Safety, Environment including developing any required localized procedures\n\nNegotiating with Carriers to obtain the best possible buying rates and favorable contractual terms on behalf of JP SEA.\n\nRisk Management, Insurance Claim management.\n\nCountry responses to pre-qualification requests, RFI, RFQ for clients\n\nLiaison with JAS financial on cash flow forecasts, AR&APand day to day HR business.\n\nManagement of JP Sub-Contractors:\nEthical Conduct & Due Diligence (ECDD), Quality, Health and Safety, Environment procedures.\n\nFinancial (including timelyand accuratebilling in liaison with Ops Vietnam)\n\nService levels.\n\nProcessing of new Sub-Contractors through the JAS Vendor Approval Process.\n\nEnsuring Sub-Contractors maintain validity of ECDD training and insurances and maintaining such records in conjunction with JAS ATL Administrative Supervisor.\n\nIdentifynew suitableSub-Contractors.\n\nOverall responsibility for all day-to-day operational aspects of the business.\n\nMonitoring high profile “HOTSHOT” shipment progress in conjunction with Ops team.\n\nChartering aircraftand vessels by following relevant SOPs.\n\nSupervise subsequentloading and discharging operations in support of ops as/when requiredand raise subsequentclient reports.\n\nLiaison with JP transport engineering for out-of-gauge heavy lift shipments.\n\nConstantly seek out and develop ways to improve the operational service received by JP clients, whilst increasing profit margins on JP business.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExcellent organizational skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal skills\n\nExcellent presentation and interpersonal skills\n\nThorough knowledge of transportation industry,logisticsand freight forwarding\n\nThorough knowledge of related business development & sales functions\n\nThorough knowledge of successful project management\n\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite\n\nDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines\n\nSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independently\n\nMust have valid driver’s license and safe driving record\n\nEDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree/ Diploma or equivalent preferred\n\nAt least 5years or more successful projects & business development experience in Projects, Freight forwarding, Logistics and/or the Transportation industry\n\nThe responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the Company’s business needs.More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth above.\nThe above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
