The role ensures inventory levels within the warehouse are accurate, products are tracked efficiently, and stock is maintained at optimal levels. Inventory Specialists manage and organize regular physical counts.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOversee inventory transactions such as receipts, adjustments, and movements. \nHelp coordinate and maintain proper storage of inventory to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration. \nAnalyze inventory data to identify trends, stock discrepancies, and potential issues. \nGenerate and review inventory reports, and provides insights on inventory performance. \nConduct regular audits of inventory to ensure compliance with company policies. \nDevelop and implement processes for better inventory accuracy and efficiency. \nCompletes daily cycle count tasks generated by the system in our clean warehouse. \nComplete special count requests as needed. \nUpon completion of counts, determine if there are discrepancies and reconcile the differences as needed including sku changes. \nVerify lots/expiration information and pull products from active picking locations as needed. \nReport large/unusual discrepancies to the IC team for further resolution via email providing supporting documentation regarding the issue(s) found. \nParticipate in physical inventories. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in a higher-level inventory control position required.\nForklift or warehouse equipment certification is preferred.\nExperience in a similar role within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment a plus.\nStrong typing skills with a focus on data accuracy and attention to detail while entering data.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel) a plus.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\nStrong ability to read and understand inventory reports, product documentation, and operating procedures, as well as accurately document inventory data and communicate clearly in written form. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders, both within and outside the company. Ability to communicate and follow instructions related to Safety, Quality, and Performance.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nProficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for inventory calculations, stock counts, and adjustments. With the ability to calculate and understand percentages, ratios, averages in all units of measure.\nREASONING ABILITY:\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Be able to assess inventory data, identify discrepancies, and determine effective solutions. The ability to think critically and logically is essential in troubleshooting inventory issues, analyzing trends, and making decisions to maintain accurate stock levels.\nCOMPUTER SKILLS:\nPrevious experience with knowledge of the Internet, Inventory Software, and Warehouse Management Systems is a must.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
