As the Inventory Control Supervisor, you'll direct the team's daily work and train and support its members. You'll also be the first person they turn to when inventory issues come up. This is a hands-on, working lead role. You'll perform all Inventory Specialist duties while helping keep our warehouse inventory accurate, well-tracked, and at the right levels.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the Inventory Specialist team's daily work. This means assigning and prioritizing cycle counts, special counts, and research tasks so the team meets accuracy goals and deadlines.\nTrain new and existing team members on counting procedures, reconciliation, system transactions, and safe equipment operation.\nServe as the team's go-to resource and escalate issues to the Inventory Control Manager when needed.\nReview and approve the team's count results, discrepancies, and inventory adjustments before they're finalized.\nTrack and report team productivity and inventory accuracy metrics (KPIs) and give the manager input on team member performance.\nHelp plan, schedule, and lead physical inventories, including staffing, count assignments, and recounts.\nPartner with Receiving, Shipping, Operations, and Client Services to resolve discrepancies and prevent repeat issues.\nOversee inventory transactions such as receipts, adjustments, and movements.\nAnalyze inventory data to spot trends and discrepancies and share insights through inventory reports.\nConduct regular inventory audits and develop and document processes that improve accuracy and efficiency.\nComplete system-generated cycle counts and special count requests.\nReconcile count differences, including SKU changes.\nVerify lot and expiration information.\nOperate warehouse equipment, such as cherry pickers and forklifts, to perform daily duties\nSchedule: 1st Shift. Overtime is required as business needs require, especially during our peak season in November and December. Physical inventories may take place after scheduled hours, including weekends.\nQualifications\nRequirements\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3-5 years of experience in a higher-level inventory control position.\nAt least 1 year in a lead, trainer, or supervisory role is preferred.\nExperience with inventory software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a must.\nForklift or warehouse equipment certification is preferred.\nExperience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.\nProven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team. This includes delegating and prioritizing work, giving clear direction and feedback, and holding the team to standards.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.\nStrong typing and data-entry accuracy.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills are a plus.\nSolid math skills, including percentages, ratios, and averages across all units of measure.\nClear written and verbal communication with colleagues, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nPhysical Demands\nYou'll regularly stand and use your hands and arms, and occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
