The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll processing, invoicing, financial record management, and establishing efficient financial processes and controls. This role requires someone who can work independently, maintain accuracy, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.\nExperience with budgeting, cost estimation, and preparing customer quotations will be considered a strong advantage.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage end-to-end bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.\nProcess payroll accurately and on time.\nPrepare and issue invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments.\nManage accounts payable and accounts receivable.\nPerform bank and credit card reconciliations.\nPrepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.\nAssist in setting up and improving accounting systems, financial processes, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.\nEnsure compliance with applicable accounting principles, tax requirements, and company policies.\nMaintain organized financial documentation and records.\nCoordinate with external accountants, auditors, and management as required.\nSupport month-end and year-end closing activities.\nMonitor cash flow and provide financial insights to management.\nAssist with budgeting, financial planning, and expense analysis.\nPrepare cost estimates and customer quotations when required (preferred).\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial reporting.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.\n2-5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.\nExperience processing payroll.\nProficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, or similar platforms.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a Canadian team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with Canadian companies or Canadian accounting practices.\nFamiliarity with Canadian payroll, GST/HST, and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.\nExperience creating customer quotations, pricing models, and project cost
