This position manages a variety of projects from concept to completion and is committed to the project's success.\nThis position focuses on the data center projects but is also expected to handle other similar mechanical engineering design projects commensurate with our portfolio of commercial MEP projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead MEP design teams for both greenfield and retrofit data center projects\nDefine HVAC technical requirements and coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and fire protection teams\nDevelop and refine office design standards for the Data Center and Mission Critical sectors\nCollaborate across disciplines to create integrated technical solutions\nCoordinate with Energy Modeling teams to optimize for energy efficiency and carbon reduction while maintaining 7x24 reliability\nProvide technical guidance to internal and third-party commissioning teams\nRepresent JB&B at industry events, conferences, and seminars to build brand recognition\nTravel to client and project sites across the U.S.\n Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience\n10 years of experience in facility design and construction environments\nExperience in design, construction, and commissioning of data center HVAC, standby generation and associated fuel oil systems\nExperience with Revit\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license, preferred\nExperience with Chiller, Cooling Towers, AHU, Heat Pumps and Generator designs\nExperience with energy modeling\nExperience process water flushing and treatment.\nExperience with Building Controls Systems\nUnderstanding of ASHRAE 90.1,90.4 and TC 9.9 publications 1-14\nWorking Conditions:This position involves sitting, walking, and periods of prolonged standing. Site visits may require use of ladders or lifts and working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions.
