Students looking for experience in design engineering are encouraged to apply!\nDuring your Co-Op, you will be exposed to a wide breadth of project types, varying in size and duration. You will work as part of a project team, collaborating with colleagues to provide our clients with progressive design solutions. You will gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. Throughout your semester or academic year, you will receive exceptional training through our JB&B University training program as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your teams.\nAs a member of the department, you will be on a collaborative team and gain experience in:\nAutoCAD and Revit programs to design and draw riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans\nVisiting project sites for surveys, punch list walkdowns, and design reviews\nAssembling documents for issue by JB&B’s standards through the use of design guidelines and checklists\nIf on the HVAC team, you will be working on:Distribution, recirculation, and exhaust of HVAC systems in a facility\nFacility/plant utilities such as chilled water, heating water, plant steam, and condensate\nIf on the PFP team, you will be working on:Distribution of water, gas, and waste systems in a facility \nLaying out the sprinkler systems and performing basic calculations for pipe sizing, design densities, and pump horsepower\n . QualificationsCurrent student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a second or third year co-op.\nExcellent oral and written communication.\nDemonstrates success in collaborating in a team environment.\n Estimated Compensation Range: $20 - $22 per hour.Jaros, Baum & Bolles is an equal opportunity employer.
