Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime available on Saturdays.\nJBS offers some of the most competitive employment conditions in the industry, with this role covered under the Beef City Maintenance Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA), which determines pay classifications and employment conditions.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nDeveloping skills and knowledge to help maximise equipment uptime through effective preventative and breakdown maintenance\nFollowing all safe work practices and procedures\nWorking collaboratively under the guidance of qualified tradespeople\nFollowing instructions from tradespeople and supervisors\nAttending TAFE and completing all required training components\nRenumeration\nAdult apprentice wages are paid as a percentage of the applicable tradesperson rate. First-year apprentices commence at 75% (approximately $1,413 per week), increasing progressively to 80% in year two, 84% in year three, and 90% in year four.\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you must hold a current open driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle, as there are no public transport options available to the site.\nDemonstrated interest in the trade\nPrevious experience within the meat industry advantageous, but not required\nOrganisational and time management abilities\nCompletion of your High School Certificate highly regarded\nExcellent interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated continuous improvement approach\nAbility to support a broad variety of mechanical work\nGood attention to detail and high level of accuracy\nAbility to communicate at all levels\nAbility to work autonomously as well as in a team environment\nAbility to work different shifts if required\nFull Australian working rights\nCurrent drivers licence and reliable transport\nGood understanding of mathematics\nBasic understanding of computer systems\nInterested?
