The role supports database availability, security, performance, backup and recovery, migrations, and upgrades.\nThis position participates in an on-call rotation, independently resolves production support issues, and requires availability for weekend work as needed.\nResponsibilities:\nInstall, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA databases across development, test, and production environments.\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Always On availability groups, database mirroring, log shipping, and replication; support Windows failover clusters.\nConfigure and troubleshoot SQL Server replication, including bidirectional and merge replication.\nConfigure SAP HANA System Replication (HSR) and perform failover and failback activities for SQL Server, Oracle, and SAP HANA databases.\nSchedule and perform database backups and recovery activities based on business and environment requirements; manage backups using enterprise tools such as CommVault, Tivoli, and HP StoreOnce.\nRefresh development and user acceptance testing (UAT) systems from production databases, move databases between servers, and perform database migrations and upgrades.\nMaintain databases, instance, server, and user-level security policies and administer user access.\nConfigure and schedule database maintenance jobs, administer SQL Server Agent jobs and linked servers, and review database logs.\nConfigure database- and operating-system-level alerts and monitoring tools, including Foglightfor SQL Server and Oracle.\nAnalyze and resolve database performance issues using traces and execution/query plans, and tune SQL statements.\nDevelop, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell and shell scripts to support database administration.\nConfigure replication using tools such as Fivetran, Qlik Replicate, and GoldenGate.\nCreate and maintain documentation for troubleshooting, daily maintenance, backup and recovery, and configuration management.\nEvaluate tools and software for database maintenance and support, follow industry standards, and recommend system enhancements.\nProvide production support, resolve issues independently, and participate in on-call and weekend support as needed.\nOther duties as assigned \nQualifications:\nHands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA databases, including SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019, and SAP HANA 2.0.\nExperience with SQL Server high availability, replication configuration and troubleshooting, Windows failover clusters, and SAP HANA System Replication.\nAbility to perform database failover and failback, backup and recovery, production-to-development/UAT refreshes, migrations, and upgrades.\nKnowledge of database security and user access administration.\nExperience configuring maintenance jobs, database- and operating-system-level alerts, and monitoring tools such as Foglight.\nKnowledge of database performance tuning, SQL statement optimization, and execution/query plan analysis.\nWorking knowledge of PowerShell and shell scripting, including troubleshooting existing scripts.\nGood understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and domain concepts.\nFamiliarity with Azure and cloud environments.\nAbility to troubleshoot production issues independently and participate in an on-call rotation and weekend work as needed.\nKnowledge of configuring and monitoring SAP HANA Cockpit and SAP Solution Manager.\nCan perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonableaccommodation\nAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
