This role involves coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The DriverManager will also manage all driver-related job functions, including vacation and home time scheduling, employee relations, claims and truck maintenance coordination.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDriver Oversight\nSupervise and support drivers in day-to-day operations.\nManage driver-related functions, including vacation and home time scheduling, employee relations, and claims handling.\nOperations Management\nCoordinate the utilization of JBS trucks in relation to the daily schedule.\nEnsure efficient and timely delivery operations.\nMonitor driver performance and compliance with company policies.\nAddress operational issues, such as breakdowns and delays, promptly.\nSafety and Compliance\nOversee driver adherence to safety protocols and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.\nFacilitate regular coaching and safety training sessions.\nKeep JBS trucks loaded within legal weight standards\nPreventative Maintenance Coordination:\nWork closely with the maintenance department to ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance and truck repairs.\nCommunicate vehicle issues reported by drivers and follow up on repairs.\nScheduling and Route Planning\nCreate and adjust driver schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.\nEnsure timely delivery of goods while adhering to legal regulations and safety standards.\nDriver Support\nServe as the primary point of contact for driver concerns, addressing and resolving issues promptly.\nFoster strong relationships with drivers to enhance job satisfaction and performance.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in transportation, logistics, or a related field is preferred.\n2+ years in transportation or logistics management preferred.\nPrevious experience managing drivers or logistics operations is highly preferred.\nSkills\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nKnowledge of DOT regulations.\nThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:\nBenefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.\nBetter Futures Program: 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents.\nPaid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.\n401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule. \nBase salary range of$57,784\nThis position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.\nThe Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
