You’ll own software from design through production, working on Python development, API design, application architecture, integrations, and cloud deployments. You’ll also integrate LLMs, vector databases, and retrieval capabilities into production applications.\nYou’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver features and solutions.\nWe are 100% remote, but candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the US.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, test, and maintain Python applications, backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.\n\nOwn production software through its full lifecycle, driving initiatives independently from design through deployment and support.\n\nIntegrate third-party services, databases, and LLMs, and implement secure authentication and authorization for APIs and services.\n\nImplement LLM integration patterns and retrieval capabilities, including RAG architectures and vector databases.\n\nBuild data processing workflows, including JSON parsing, document transformation, data extraction, and structured output generation.\n\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and logging, and troubleshoot production issues across applications, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure.\n\nImprove application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.\n\nCollaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders, and evaluate new technologies where they offer meaningful improvements.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of professional software development, primarily in Python, with strong backend, object-oriented, and application architecture fundamentals.\n\nExperience designing RESTful APIs and building microservices, including secure authentication and authorization.\n\nExperience developing and deploying applications on AWS (or a comparable cloud platform), with working knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and logging in production.\n\nSolid grounding in relational databases, SQL, and data modeling, plus data processing workflows such as JSON parsing, document transformation, and structured output generation.\n\nHands-on experience integrating LLMs into production applications, including retrieval/RAG patterns and vector databases. At least one LLM-powered feature shipped to production. AWS Bedrock experience preferred; similar platforms are fine.\n\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills across applications, integrations, and infrastructure.\n\nClear communicator who works well in an Agile, cross-functional team and can own complex initiatives independently.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience developing GenAI or LLM-powered applications.\n\nExperience with agentic AI frameworks or AI agent development.\n\nExperience with AgentCore runtime and associated services.\n\nExperience with document processing, PDF extraction, computer vision, or other data extraction technologies.\n\nExperience optimizing applications for performance, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nThis is a remote, full-time W2 position.\nBase salary: $125,000 to $145,000, based on experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications.
