The Information Security department is responsible for both Risk Management and Security Operations.\nThe Information Security Officer supports the implementation and continuous improvement of JBT Marel’s security framework across the business. The role acts as a security liaison between business, technology and security teams and provides practical, risk-aligned guidance within assigned areas of responsibility.\nIt is your mission to help identify, assess and document security risks across information, processes, projects and technologies, and to support the mitigation of those risks. You know how to collaborate with stakeholders, communicate clearly, and balance security requirements with business value and usability.\nThe Information Security Officer closely cooperates with Cyber Security Specialists and other Information Security colleagues in audits, change management, incident coordination, awareness activities, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.\nReports to:\nChief Information Security Officer\nKey areas of accountability\nRisk management and advisory:\nIdentify, assess and document security risks across information processes, projects and technologies within assigned areas of responsibility.\nProvide constructive security advisory for inquiries related to areas of responsibility, applying established guidelines and escalating complex topics where needed.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to provide clear guidance and support the development of pragmatic, risk-aligned solutions.\nSupport mitigation planning by providing input on security risks, controls and improvement actions.\nPolicy management:\nWrite and update security policies, standards and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.\nContribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of JBT Marel’s security policies, standards and procedures.\nIdentify gaps in policies, standards and guidelines and propose improvements to reduce security risks.\nSecurity awareness:\nPromote security awareness by delivering training and championing Information Security objectives.\nAssess current security awareness maturity in assigned areas and use insights to drive targeted improvements and clear communication.\nSupport the adoption of the right security behavior based on JBT Marel’s policies, standards and guidelines.\nReporting, audits and operations:\nReport on security posture and incidents within assigned areas of responsibility.\nParticipate in technical and non-technical audits, change management processes and incident coordination activities.\nApply established guidelines to analyze and resolve routine security issues.\nIdentify opportunities for control enhancement and process improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.\nSupport continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture and monitor advancements in Information Security best practices.\nTeam contribution:\nOperate with moderate supervision and seek guidance where needed.\nSupport onboarding or training of new team members when requested.\nProvide input to employee performance evaluations as needed.\nCompetencies and Skills\nRelating and networking\nPresenting and communicating information\nWriting and reporting\nAnalytical thinking\nCooperative\nPro-active\nConceptual/forward thinking\nThoroughness\nStress management\nPragmatic and risk-based mindset\nProficient English writing and speaking\nLevel of Knowledge and Experience\nBachelor level in information management and auditing, IT/information security, computer sciences, or a suitable combination of formal education and experience.\n1 - 3 years of experience in information security, risk management, IT audit, technology governance or a related field.\nBasic understanding of risk management, security policy management, security awareness, incident coordination and control improvement.\nKnowledge of international security standards or frameworks, such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, OWASP, CIS Controls, NIST or ISF Standard of Good Practice, is desired.\nPreferred: experience in working in an international/ global organization.\nPreferred: knowledge of the manufacturing industry and business model/processes.\nWhy Join JBT Marel?\nJoining JBT Marel means becoming part of a global leader in food processing technology that is helping feed the world more sustainably.
