You will be responsible for designing and testing mechanical systems for food equipment machinery. You'll work with cross-functional teams to define customer needs, develop new features, and ensure designs meet specifications. Important responsibilities include CAD layouts, DFMEA, cost estimations, and solving mechanical field problems. You'll also collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers to increase the cost/value relationship of our designs.\nThis position is located within Kingston, NY.\nResponsibilities:\nMain Tasks\nWork in teams on the development of concepts, testing, investigation and verification of designs \nPay attention to the implementation of the function, cleaning aspects, reliability, safety, production technologies and cost price \nTo build the maintenance and mechanical design of machinery, layouts, assemblies and components, to fulfill the design and requirements, to prepare assembly/detail drawings and part lists \nWork on the mechanical deliverables according to plan \nMake sure that the work is carried out following Company guidelines (MEDS) and international standards \nPart of the role can be to delegate tasks to engineering partners \nSkills and Abilities\nKnowledge of relevant production technics, materials and components \nKnowledge of the food processing industry requirements \nExperience with mechanics and industrial automation \nUnderstand the value of the reuse of others' ideas, standardization and modularization \nwork with customers, vendors and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner \nYou will works well under time constraints and with possible production setbacks \nEnjoy learning and researching \nAbility and interest in working with a multicultural company. \nIs a team player that enjoys working with people and deals well with feedback \nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Technology or comparable work experience \nExperience with or knowledge of 3D design tools \nExperience with and comfort working in multicultural, multi-discipline organization \n5+ years of experience in automatic, industrial food processing equipment or similar fields in product development is a. \nProficiency in CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar. \nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude through hands-on experience in design, testing, or troubleshooting. \nExperience with mechanical design principles and product development processes. \nApply advanced mathematical concepts and engineering principles. \nFamiliarity with lifecycle management of design data, including CAD models, drawings, and ECNs. \n\nTravel & Location\nYou will be onsite in Kingston, NY and travel up to 25% of the time. \nYou must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.\nWhy work at JBT Marel\nWe are committed to our employees and provide development opportunities to allow you to be the best version of yourself as our colleague, with our customers and within communities.\nWe seek to understand and include diverse perspectives and cultures enjoying collaborative working across our global teams to deliver world-class projects.\nWe foster growth as we courage you to challenge yourself and others, staying curious and dreaming big as you feed your growth here at JBT Marel.\nBenefits: JBT Marel offers benefits on day 1 of your employment.
