As we Create with Collaboration, Serve with Integrity, Grow with Excellence, and Advance with Innovation.\nAs our Principal Software Engineer, you will be driving and supporting robotic water-jet cutting equipment and various JBT Marel systems using computer vision for the food processing industry.\nOn a given day, you may:\nYou will be working with a multidisciplinary software team focusing on machine control and development on a real-time operating system.\nArchitect and design systems of applications powering complex industrial systems.\nDesign, develop, test, and deliver innovative C/C++ software solutions.\nWork in a dynamic and collaborative agile software development environment.\nWork with cross-functional teams and partner closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver fully integrated real-world solutions.\nWork with field engineers to debug and resolve issues.\nTest and debug software on physical machines in a lab environment.\nMentor new and junior developers.\nRequirements:\n10 years minimum experience in C/C++ development, debugging, testing, and system profiling.\nKnowledge of software architecture concepts and experience developing complex, multi-process system architectures.\nStrong understanding of real-time operating systems and experience developing software with real-time constraints.\nExperience in understanding interrupts, inter-process communication, and multi-threading.\nExperience in object-oriented design and microservices architectures.\nExperience in socket programming and network communication.\nExperience developing on Linux or QNX.\nExperience in build automation and knowledge of CMake build processes.\nExperience with git version control system and branching strategies.\nExperience working in Agile software development environments.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience in Qt/QML.\nExperience in computer vision, image processing, object recognition.\nExperience in AI/ML integration.\nExperience in applied math and computational geometry.\nExperience in device driver development.\nExperience in motion control.\nExperience developing embedded software for x86 platforms.\nThe estimated annual salary range for this role is $133,000- $222,000 annually.
