As part of our Planning & Procurement team in Lichtenvoorde, you will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and outsourced assemblies are delivered on time and to the highest standards.\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Procurement Specialist (Operational Buying & Outsourcing Engineering) who enjoys taking ownership, collaborating with suppliers, and continuously improving processes.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Procurement Specialist you will combine operational purchasing responsibilities with support for outsourcing activities. You will manage your own supplier portfolio and work closely with internal stakeholders and international suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of parts, assemblies, and outsourced production activities.\nThis role offers a unique combination of day-to-day purchasing activities and involvement in larger outsourcing projects, where complete assemblies or machine components are sourced from external manufacturing partners across Europe and beyond.\nYou will work in a small, experienced team where you can make a visible impact, contribute new ideas, and help optimize our supply chain processes.\nWhat you will do:\nOrder Management\nPlace purchase orders and follow up on supplier confirmations.\n\nMonitor and manage delivery schedules and supplier performance.\n\nMaintain accurate supplier and item master data within the ERP system.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding operational purchasing matters.\n\nCommunicate delivery updates and potential risks to internal stakeholders.\n\nManage your own supplier portfolio and build effective supplier relationships.\n\nInvoice Management\nReview and minimize price discrepancies.\n\nVerify, approve, and follow up on supplier invoices.\n\nSupport accurate and timely invoice processing.\n\nComplaints & Repairs\nCoordinate and resolve supplier complaints.\n\nManage repair and non-conformance processes with suppliers.\n\nFollow corrective actions to ensure sustainable solutions.\n\nOutsourcing Support\nSupport the outsourcing of assemblies, fabricated parts, and machine modules to external suppliers.\n\nCoordinate production progress, delivery planning, and communication with outsourcing partners.\n\nAssist in supplier evaluations and quality follow-up activities.\n\nCollaborate with experienced Outsourcing Engineers on supplier development and outsourcing projects.\n\nPotentially support supplier visits and inspections as your experience grows.\n\nAnalysis & Continuous Improvement\nAnalyze inventory strategies and stock levels.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing and supply chain processes.\n\nContribute to process optimization initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.\n\nPropose practical improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.\n\nHelp develop smarter ways of working within the team and with suppliers.\n\nWhat you will bring:\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work and thinking level.\n\nApproximately 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.\n\nCandidates with vocational background and substantial relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.\n\nExperience working with ERP systems.\n\nManufacturing or machine-building experience is an advantage but not required.\n\nProfessional proficiency in Dutch and English.\n\nCompetencies\nStrong sense of ownership and responsibility.\nAnalytical and solution-oriented mindset.\nAbility to manage priorities and work independently.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nContinuous improvement mentality.\nTeam player with a proactive and hands-on approach.\nAbout the Role Level\nYou have working knowledge and experience within your discipline and continue to build your understanding of our organization, processes, products, and customers.\nYou perform mainly straightforward or structured assignments that further develop your professional expertise.
