The role co-ordinates internal teams, customers and third parties to deliver projects safely, on time, to agreed scope, and with effective control of cost, risk, change and project information.\nThe role also manages pre-order project review, bringing delivery, resource and risk considerations into business decision-making. The Senior Project Engineerbuilds strong customer relationships, provides clear project leadership and applies commercial judgement to manage change, protect project performance and support successful customer outcomes.\nKey Tasks and Accountabilities\nProject Management\nManage ACS customer projects from order handover through planning, delivery, go-live support and close-out.\n\nPrepare and maintain project plans, milestones, resource requirements, customer actions and delivery dependenciesas required.\n\nCoordinate internal and external project teams, including third parties and customers.\n\nMonitor progress against scope, cost and schedule, resolving issues and escalating risks where required.\n\nManage standard and complex projects using a level of control appropriate to project risk.\n\nMaintain clear project records, decisions, actions and supporting information.\n\nGovernance, Risk and Change Control\nManage pre-order governance, co-ordinating the required business inputs and recording decisions and actions.\n\nLead project governance following order, ensuring reviews take place at the required project stages.\n\nMaintain visibility of project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and outstanding actions.\n\nAssess and control changes affecting scope, cost, delivery dates, technical requirements, resources or customer commitments.\n\nEnsure governance decisions, exceptions, actions, owners and due dates are recorded and followed up.\n\nEscalate material risks, missing information or decisions outside agreed authority.\n\nCustomer and Stakeholder Co-ordination\nAct as the main project contact for the customer following order handover.\n\nCoordinate customer information, site readiness, access, production downtime, training and acceptance requirements.\n\nProvide clear project updates covering progress, decisions, risks, actions and changes.\n\nFollow up actions and maintain information flow across internal teams and external stakeholders.\n\nManage customer expectations and escalate dependencies or blockers affecting delivery.\n\nCommercial Control and Close-Out\nMonitor project hours, costs, site days, follow-up visits and commercial performance.\n\nMaintain records of scope changes, variation requests and commercial impacts.\n\nCoordinate customer acceptance and transition of the live system into Support.\n\nReview project performance, including the reasons and costs of follow-up visits.\n\nComplete project close-out and ensure remaining actions have clear ownership.\n\nHold project lessons-learned reviews and record findings in the central log.\n\nJob Requirements\nStrong project management capability in a software, controls, automation, systems integration or technical project environment.\n\nStrong planning, organisation, risk management and change-control skills.\n\nAble to facilitate cross-functional decisions without assuming ownership of functional evidence or commercial approval.\n\nAble to coordinate multiple teams and maintain progress without direct line authority.\n\nCommercial awareness, including project cost, scope, resource and schedule impacts.\n\nConfident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.\n\nAble to challenge unclear requirements, incomplete information and unrealistic delivery commitments.\n\nCompetent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and wider Microsoft 365 applications.\n\nAble to travel to customer sites when required.\n\nExperience\nPrevious project management experience is required.\n\nExperience managing customer projects through planning, delivery, implementation and close-out is required.\n\nExperience facilitating governance or cross-functional project reviews is desirable.\n\nExperience of project governance, risk management, change control and cost tracking is desirable.\n\nExperience in software, controls, automation, systems integration, engineering or manufacturing is desirable.\n\nExperience in food production, packaging, coding, labelling or traceability systems is
