As we Create with Collaboration, Serve with Integrity, Grow with Excellence, and Advance with Innovation.\nAs our Sr Electrical Buyer, you will lead complex buying and planning activities for high-impact product families and serve as the technical escalation point.\nYou will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain and work onsite, with minimal travel required (you may need to conduct vendor visits to resolve issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery).\nOn a given day, you may:\nReviews Purchase Requisitions and MRP Reports and purchases goods or services where there is technical or commercial risk present.\nDetermines what goods and services should be purchased from a Purchase Requisition or other authorization.\nObtains quotations from vendors.\nReviews and maintains delivery lead times, reorder levels, safety stock, etc.\nDetermines the ability of vendors to supply or manufacture desired materials in the quality and quantities required to meet delivery schedules.\nNegotiates and executes contracts for the purchase of goods and services.\nAbility to develop, assess, select, and manage high-quality vendors. Develops and qualifies new supply and vendor sources. Determines when new vendors are needed due to inconsistency of goods or poor service or delivery times. \nProvides support to Production on material flow issues to meet production schedule and customer requirements. Interfaces with Engineering and Production Manager on planning and supplying materials to fill customer orders to meet projected shipments. Coordinates purchasing activities with other departments to establish and maintain inventory levels. \nFormulate and implement quality and delivery improvement strategies. Expedite orders; reconcile invoices with Accounting; process and resolve non-conformance issues and returns with vendors; file Purchase Orders and correspondence; maintain related procurement files and databases.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. \nAbility to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, bills of material, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, groups of managers, other departments, and customers.\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
