As we Create with Collaboration, Serve with Integrity, Grow with Excellence, and Advance with Innovation.\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer II, you will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated industrial equipment and material handling solutions, with an emphasis on product engineering, reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.\nYou will take ownership of complex engineering challenges, provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and engineering vendors, and collaborate across disciplines to develop innovative, practical solutions.\nThis role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to drive projects from concept through production.\nOn a given day, you may:\nDesign and development mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software.\nDevelop engineering specifications, design calculations, technical documentation, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).\nLead mechanical engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development through manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.\nApply lean design principles and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.\nDesign and integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.\nPerform engineering analysis and design reviews to ensure functionality, safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.\nMentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance on engineering best practices.\nCollaborate with production, electrical and software engineering, purchasing, and service teams to deliver engineering solutions.\nWork with suppliers and vendors to evaluate components, resolve technical challenges, and support engineering deliverables.\nLead hands-on troubleshooting, testing, root cause analysis, and design validation.\nDrive product standardization, design optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nManage engineering changes and maintain accurate product documentation within PLM systems.\nTravel (up to 20%) domestically and report onsite in Chalfont, PA.\nQualifications (Required)\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n7+ years of relevant mechanical design or product engineering experience.\nProficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Creo and Windchill.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles, DFMEA, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis.\nExperience leading technical projects.\nExperience developing engineering specifications and documentation.\nDemonstrated ability to independently solve complex engineering problems and make sound technical decisions.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.\nHands-on mechanical aptitude and experience supporting equipment development and troubleshooting.\nQualifications (Preferred Experience)\nProduct design and lifecycle engineering\nLean design and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)\nDesigning Hydraulic and electromechanical systems\nDesigning Automated equipment and material handling systems\nGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\nMachining, fabrication, and welding processes\nProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems\nFinite Element Analysis (FEA)\nTechnical leadership and mentoring\nPython or other programming languages\nWe are committed to our employees and will provide you with development and opportunities to allow you to be the best version of yourself at work, at home, and in your community.\nWe foster a genuine inclusive team culture enjoying collaborative working across our global teams to deliver world-class projects.\nWe encourage development - ensuring new experiences and challenges at JBT Marel to feed your growth!\nBenefits: JBT Marel offers benefits on day 1 of your employment.
