In this role, you will perform stainless steel fabrication and welding operations on light-gauge stainless steel components. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG and TIG welding, blueprint interpretation, sanitary welds, and precision fabrication in a manufacturing environment.\nThe Welder will use fabrication equipment, fixtures, hand tools, and finishing tools to produce high-quality components that meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel sheet metal components.\n\nInterpret and follow mechanical blueprints, weld symbols, shop drawings, work instructions, and production routings.\n\nProduce clean, high-quality sanitary welds that meet USDA requirements.\n\nSet up and operate welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and finishing equipment.\n\nPerform weld finishing operations including grinding, blending, polishing, and surface preparation using hand tools.\n\nInspect completed work to ensure components meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.\n\nUtilize fixtures and measuring tools to maintain accuracy during fabrication.\n\nOperate material handling equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts as required.\n\nMaintain a clean and organized work area while following established housekeeping standards.\n\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nWork collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals.\n\nSupport multiple weld areas and cross-training opportunities based on business needs.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.\n\nMinimum of 2 years of welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.\n\nExperience performing MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel.\n\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions while meeting production standards.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.\n\nAbility to work safely in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Welding Technology.\n\nExperience with stainless steel fabrication and sanitary welding applications.\n\nExperience working in a food equipment, sanitary fabrication, or USDA-regulated manufacturing environment.\n\nPrevious experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and fabrication equipment.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.\n\nAbility to lift and move materials as required.\n\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety requirements.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.\nThe estimated annual salary range for this role is $20.00 - 26.00 (hourly).
