Must keep current with facility calendar - programs, events, and activities.\n\nMaintain professional and technical knowledge about exercise, health, and fitness by remaining current with trends in the industry.\n\nParticipate in facility events, activities, and seminars when directed by management.\n\nProvide excellent customer service and monitor guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques.\n\nEnsure the facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests and that it is safe and secure at all times.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nCertification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA.\n\nCurrent first aid, CPR, and other safety certifications when required by the client.\n\nAbility to demonstrate equipment use for exercise training.\n\nExcellent customer service skills and strong work ethic.\n\nEfficient, well-organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.\n\nProfessional manner, discretion, and appearance.\n\nExcellent verbal and written skills.\n\nAwareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nA college degree in physical education or a related field is preferred.\n\nEnergetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.\n\nStrong team player.\n\nPhysical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance)\nMental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take the initiative, cope with stress, and adapt to and stay alert in a business environment.\n\nTo perform the job's essential duties, the employee must be able to speak, hear, see, and walk more than 2 miles daily, see, and walk more than 2 miles each day.\n\nStanding and sitting on the floor\n\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
