This role will lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise storage platforms, with a focus on maintaining high availability, performance, scalability, security, and operational resilience.\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with storage architecture, SAN/NAS technologies, data protection, performance optimization, lifecycle management, and supporting integrated enterprise infrastructure environments.\nWe are looking for a candidate who can troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, work effectively across infrastructure teams, and clearly communicate technical information to both customers and team members.\nUS Citizenship is required\nUS Clearance: Active TS/SCI\nPosition Location: Ft Belvoir, VA\nSalary Range: $70,000 to $100,000.\nWhat’s in it for you:\nJoin a premier technology firm specializing in innovative solutions. \nBe part of a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work culture. \nEnjoy tremendous growth potential in a high-performing team environment. \nA robust benefits package: Health, dental, and vision insurance \nLife insurance \nShort-and-long term disability \nPaid time off (PTO) \n401k retirement plan with employer match \nAnnual Professional Development Reimbursement Program \nAnd more! \n\nWhat you will do:\nLeading the engineering, administration, and support of enterprise storage environments, with a primary focus on NetApp and Dell Unity platforms.\nDesigning and maintaining highly available, scalable storage solutions for file, block, and hybrid workloads.\nPerforming provisioning, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of storage systems.\nManaging and optimizing storage environments, including aggregates, volumes, SVMs, snapshots, replication, quotas, tiering, and protocol configuration.\nAdministering NetApp, Dell EMC, and Hitachi storage arrays, including pools, LUNs, file systems, NAS servers, snapshots, replication, FAST VP/tiering, and host connectivity.\nSupporting SAN and NAS infrastructure, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB/CIFS protocols.\nEnsuring system compliance with DISA STIG and DoD security requirements by leading critical hardening efforts.\nMonitoring storage health, capacity, utilization, and performance; identifying trends and recommending remediation or expansion strategies.\nTroubleshooting storage, replication, latency, pathing, and connectivity issues across hosts, hypervisors, and network fabrics.\nPlanning and executing data migration efforts between legacy and target storage platforms with minimal downtime.\nImplementing and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, including snapshot policies, replication, failover, and recovery testing.\nProviding mentorship and guidance to junior administrators and team members to foster a deeper understanding of storage technologies.\nDeveloping and maintaining documentation related to storage architecture, processes, and procedures.\nEvaluating and recommending emerging storage solutions to continuously optimize system performance and efficiency.\nSupporting projects to enhance the security, efficiency, or capability of the storage environment.\nWorking with vendors and third-party providers for troubleshooting and issue resolution.\nWhat you will bring:\nActive Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of hire.\nCandidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) at time of consideration.\nBachelor’s degree with 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree. \nCurrent Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of consideration.\nCandidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) at time of consideration.\nAdvanced knowledge of storage systems architecture, lifecycle engineering, and infrastructure modernization principles.\nDemonstrated experience with NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, VMware vSAN and other storage technologies.\nStrong working knowledge of enterprise computing environments (physical, virtual, hybrid) and server virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware).\nWorking knowledge of virtualization such as VMware vSphere and backup technologies such as NetBackup, Commvault and Veeam.\nStrong knowledge of SANs, Fibre Channel fabric, and storage technologies.\nDeep understanding of DISA STIGs, system hardening, and DoD security compliance frameworks.\nDevelop storage standards, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across systems, virtualization, and storage layers.\nHow you will wow us:\nExperience supporting large-scale Windows and Linux server environments.\nITIL 5 Foundation Certification\nExperience with storage migrations using native and third-party tools.\nKnowledge of backup platforms such as Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, or similar.\nFamiliarity with automation tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI for automation tasks.\nExperience in regulated, highly available, or mission-critical environments.\nPrior work within the Department of War and familiarity with its IT environments.\nJCS Solutions (JCS) is a premier technology firm providing innovative solutions and high-quality services in defense, national security, and civilian sectors.
