Job Description
Reporting to the VP Creative, we are looking for an AI-Forward ACD - Art Director who is conceptually-minded, with a background working across mediums - with a focus on film creative and production. You’ll be hands-on leading AI-forward projects for some of the world’s greatest brands - creating visually inspiring ideas that cut through the clutter to set hearts and feeds on fire. You'll excel in a dynamic, international environment - working across teams in the US, UK, and Mexico. You’re an idea generator and are obsessed with bringing high-level Art Direction craft to every project - whether you’re using the latest AI tools or not. You’ll work hands-on everyday, but also can lead a team of makers to help bring your vision to life.
This is a hybrid position, based out of our New York office. The salary range for this position is between $130,000-170,000 USD, annually, and a final offer is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
Creative vision
Own the Creative Vision on your portfolio of projects - driving creative excellence and consistency across platforms and deliverables.
Drive the Art Direction craft across all projects - leveling up all work across AI-forward projects.
Strive to deliver award-winning ideas and craft whilst ensuring that all campaigns, from idea to final execution strongly deliver against the brief and client and business objectives.
Work hands-on to create mock-ups and storyboards using the latest GenAI and Design tools i.e. Figma.
Generate creative concepts for multiple brands, and work with a team of designers to bring them to life, visually.
Be at the forefront of AI tools and bring world-class Art Direction to the world of AI.
Confidently present work to clients and respond to feedback with creative solutions.
Guide a team of designers and editors from concept through to final execution.
Be highly collaborative - across teams in the US, UK and Mexico.
Create film treatments, storyboards, and mood boards that guide the work on AI film production projects.
Leadership & Team Management
Regularly share your team’s latest creative work with your VP Creative, working closely for development and sign off.
Guide AI film directors and AI motion designers through the film-making process.
Be deft at mixing the latest AI tools with traditional Art Direction and Production techniques for the best possible outputs.
Build relationships and influence with creatives in the US, UK and Mexico.
Create groundbreaking visual ideas to promote brand engagement.
Defend and improve ideas in response to client feedback
Review work with the Creative Director, Creative VP and ECD, take feedback and actioning their direction across the team.
Act as a champion for generative innovation by leveraging AI tools to create campaign visuals, generate assets, and iterate on the fly - enabling your team to move faster and stay focused on the big ideas.
Qualifications:
8+ years experience as an ACD/Art Director role at top advertising agencies.
Proven track record of leading successful, award-winning advertising campaigns and teams.
Enthusiasm for the use of AI in Art Direction - supported by a strong background and commitment to creative craft.
Strong, integrated portfolio showcasing expertise in concept development, executional craft and multi-platform, award-wining, storytelling for the world’s best brands
Deep experience in the entire film production process, from pre-production through to post production and delivery.
Expertise and continued awareness across digital, social, AI tools and emerging advertising trends.
Excellent team and client communication and presentation skills.
Experience working with global brands on high-profile, heart-of-culture campaigns.
Hands on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google suite, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Nano Banana and other AI-driven creative solutions.
