This role is ideal for a detail-oriented insurance professional with 3-5 years of experience who is looking to develop underwriting knowledge and build a long-term career in commercial insurance.\nThis role is an in-office position in our Red Bank, NJ office. \nKey Responsibilities\nSupport retail agents and underwriters by gathering required information and documentation through agency management systems, tasks, reminders, and Outlook.\nOrder, review, and process inspections, including handling discrepancies and underwriting recommendations.\nProcess cancellation and reinstatement notices in a timely and accurate manner.\nManage pre-audit correspondence, closed-even audits, and premium-bearing audits.\nReport claims and provide claim reporting confirmations to agents and insureds.\nProcess policy endorsements and related documentation.\nMaintain accurate underwriting files and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.\nDeliver excellent customer service to internal and external business partners.\nAssist with renewal preparation and gradually learn renewal quoting and underwriting functions to support professional development.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.\n3-5 years of insurance industry experience, within Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C), ideally in binding and programs.\nExposure to underwriting support, policy processing, customer service, or agency operations preferred.\nStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high service standards.\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with agency management systems is a plus.\nPreferred Attributes\nEagerness to learn underwriting concepts and grow into an underwriting career path.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to accuracy and responsiveness.\nThe base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
