Today, MiniCo is amember of the Jencap Program Administrators division, offering multiple specialty property and casualty insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures. \nThe Team Lead Underwriting Operations will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ office \nLead MiniCo’s Underwriting Support Team and operational workflows, with responsibility for team development, ConceptOne (C1) subject-matter expertise, New Business and Renewal support processes, agency-operations coordination, vendor/BPO governance, system testing, and cross-functional process improvement.\nResponsibilities: \nPeople Leadership & Service Management\nLead, coach, and develop the Underwriting Support team, including cross-training, workload management, and performance expectations.\nMonitor team capacity, address bottlenecks, and recommend staffing or workflow improvements.\nConduct regular team meetings, coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.\nSystems & Process Ownership\nServe as the primary ConceptOne SME and liaison across Underwriting, IT, Accounting, and vendors.\nTroubleshoot system issues and maintain policy, reporting, and data integrity.\nCoordinate system updates, business requirements, testing/UAT, and enhancements.\nUnderwriting Operations & Projects\nOversee New Business and Renewal support workflows, policy servicing, vendor processes, and quality controls.\nLead process improvements, audits, system implementations, and special projects.\nSupport Bill It Now and related Underwriting/Accounting workflows.\nCompliance & Vendor Management\nPartner with Jencap Compliance, Legal, carriers, and corporate teams on regulatory and operational requirements.\nTrack and implement state and carrier changes related to rates, rules, forms, coverage, and underwriting.\nOversee agent onboarding, appointments, program requirements, and escalations in partnership with Shared Services.\nManage ODEN and other vendor relationships, including SOWs, service expectations, implementation, and issue resolution.\nSupport carrier and regulatory audits and follow-up activities.\nPhoenix & Trade Show Support\nProvide leadership oversight and occasional support for trade shows and other peak operational needs in Phoenix.\nRequirements: \n4 to 5 years of progressively responsible commercial insurance, underwriting operations, project management, or comparable experience.\nStrong policy-administration-system experience; ConceptOne expertise preferred.\nDemonstrated people leadership, process ownership, systems testing, documentation, and vendor-management capabilities.\nThe base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
