This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems associated with manufacturing equipment, production machinery, and automated control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and industrial electrical systems, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nMachine Electrical Controls\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine electrical control systems.\nDiagnose issues involving PLCs, HMIs, drives, relays, contactors, sensors, servos, and motor control circuits.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.\nInstall, wire, and modify electrical control panels and machine automation systems.\nAssist with machine startups, commissioning, and production line modifications.\nPerform electrical testing using meters, megohm testers, and other diagnostic equipment.\nSupport automation improvements and equipment upgrades to improve productivity and reliability.\nElectrical Maintenance\nMaintain facility and production equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.\nInstall, repair, and replace motors, transformers, disconnects, breakers, and electrical distribution components.\nTroubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems up to 480V.\nIdentify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.\nRespond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.\nSafety and Compliance\nFollow all electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and work documentation.\nKeep work areas clean and organized.\nContinuous Improvement\nRecommend equipment and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.\nParticipate in reliability initiatives and preventive maintenance programs.\nCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on capital projects and equipment upgrades.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nJourneyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical experience.\nMinimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance electrical experience.\nStrong knowledge of: PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)\nMotor controls and starters\nVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)\nSensors, encoders, and industrial instrumentation\nElectrical schematics and ladder logic\nIndustrial machinery and automated systems\n\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.\nProficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nPreferred\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or Automation.\nExperience with robotics and servo systems.\nExperience programming or modifying PLC and HMI applications.\nKnowledge of Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, or industrial networking.\nExperience in a manufacturing or production environment.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to work in manufacturing environments with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving machinery.\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call schedules as needed.\nKey Competencies\nElectrical troubleshooting expertise\nPLC and automation knowledge\nRoot cause analysis\nPreventive maintenance\nSafety-focused mindset\nStrong problem-solving skills\nAttention to detail\nEffective communication and teamwork\nExcellent benefits include medical with a standard PPO plan with deductibles as low as $1,500 and wellness credit up to $750;
