This role is pivotal in the testing of new or existing product, supplier quality/ vendor development, manufactured product quality, and the evaluation and resolution of manufacturing or supplier product issues related to steel manufacturing and ground control solutions. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory testing and play a key role in product and vendor development. They will work closely with our Engineering, Purchasing and Quality teams, performing routine, requested, or issue-specific part testing. Additionally, this position involves collaboration with manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and several other groups in the company to ensure manufactured and purchased products meet all requirements.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Relevant Discipline (Mechanical or Material Science Engineering), Preferred\nThree-Five (3-5) Years Relevant Experience, A Plus\nAbility to understand drawings or models created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as stamping, forging, machining, or casting\nSolid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product design, function and application.\nDemonstrated technical acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed, confident technical decisions.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective documentation, presentation, and report writing.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational skills.\nStrong team collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and contribute effectively in group settings.\nAdaptability and eagerness to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nReliable and punctual, with the flexibility to adjust work schedules as needed, including up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.\nAbility to lift 50 lbs, alternate between sitting, standing, using work platform with stairs\nGood visual acuity and manual dexterity\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform lab testing and organization tasks promptly, with guidance from Engineering.\nApply engineering principles to perform accurate calculations, analyses and determine necessary tools for testing setups\nAssist with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products\nAbility to understand product drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
