This role will design, implement, execute, and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts. Validate and document completion of testing and development. Verify fixes and help ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing.\nThis person will demonstrate and apply product, domain, or technical expertise to maximize the quality of testing for a development team. They will maintain a positive and professional attitude. While also indentifying opportunities for improving processes, training and tools and make appropriate recommendations to management.\nEssential Tasks\nReview requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback\nDevelop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements\nEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team\nDesign, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools\nIdentify, record, document, and track bugs\nPerform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as required\nMonitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy\nLeverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes when appropriate.\nApply sound judgment and ethical standards when using AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human-in-the-loop oversight.\nOther duties as assigned\nPreferred Skills & Experience\n6+ years professional experience\nMust have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product\nMust have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications\nExperience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries\nExperience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems\nA thorough understanding administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus\nProficiency with at least one programming or scripting language a plus\nThe pay range for this position is $72,000-$87,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
