Hybrid role based in Montreal, Canada.\nWe are currently looking for a Operations Support Specialist for our office in Montreal, to join an international environment with a team of like-minded system experts in a leading edge expanding software company.\nThe team you will be working with consists of Product Support Developer (internally referred to as Service Managers), Systems Experts and Service Delivery Managers handling multiple customers globally.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nBecome an authority on several production system installations in terms of managing the technical aspects of the applications.\nProvide advanced technical support, in relation to the Service Level Agreement(s), for the Crew portfolio focusing mainly on the crew planning products. \nAssist the client with knowledge injections, proactive problem solving and daily management of the production installation\nMaintain Linux installations on company servers and make recommendations to clients on patches/upgrades\nWork with System requirements with internal and external stakeholders\nThis position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite 2-3 days a week. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.\nEmployer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n3+ years in software development or advanced technical support role\nGood knowledge in Python language\nGood knowledge of Unix and/or Linux\nGood knowledge with shell scripting\nFamiliar with AWS concepts\nGood knowledge in version control systems such as Git\nFluency in English language\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n5+ years in software development or advanced technical support role\nParticular interest in technical problem solving\nExperience with AWS\nExperience with RAVE\nStrong programming skills \nKnowledge of Kubernetes is beneficial\nCustomer relationship experience is advantageous\nHighly responsible, able to take ownership of issues\nStrong technical & analytical aptitude\nAble to work independently and within a team\nTypical Education/Experience:\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor/Masters or equivalent work experience.\nRelocation:\nRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
