This position supports the day-to-day safety and environmental activities for all US based facilities and coordinates training, maintains records and contributes to local, state and federal reporting requirements.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nEnsures compliance with relevant standards, including OSHA, DEP and EPA regulations.\nWorks with all employees to address EHS concerns and recommends improvements to equipment, process, or behavioral activities.\nConducts/coordinates EHS inspections and audits, documents actions, writes reports and conducts follow-up. \nLeads incident investigations and establishes corrective actions. Works with all employees, including managers and engineers, to implement corrective actions.\nConducts annual OSHA training for all employees.\nMaintains and documents incidents and risk assessments in global electronic system (MIA).\nSupports the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems.\nMaintains Safety Data Sheets and hazard communication program. \nMaintains safety supply inventory.\nSupports industrial hygiene activities. \nDevelops and reviews safety procedures and policies. \nSupports emergency response functions, including Omnilert maintenance. \nSupports contractor management. \nSupports environmental activities such as sampling, reporting, and incident investigations.\nSupports Sustainability and Lean initiatives.\nContributes to all local, state and federal reporting requirements.\nActively exhibits leadership capabilities in all aspects of their work.\nDisplays conscious awareness of what is required to ensure a sustainable Höganäs.\nQualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in a safety-related field and up to five years professional experience in industrial safety. Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees. Knowledge in the use and limitations of monitoring equipment and government regulations regarding safety.
