This position is responsible to receive shipments into the plant and support the company’s supply chain with a focus on logistical and warehouse functions.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nCoordinates and receives inbound purchased materials, records into\ninventory software, and maintains related records.\nPrepares reports and coordinates receiving activities with Accounts Payable.\nLeads unloading of raw materials via rail system and truck shipments.\nLabels incoming materials for inventory system.\nPerforms cycle counts on material stored in warehouse.\nOpens and examines inbound containers and conducts pre-loading\ninspections of outbound containers.\nSupports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping activities and\nassumes responsibilities in their absence.\nCoordinates sampling of raw material for Quality testing.\nTags, rejects, and contacts Purchasing to return defective material.\nInforms Accounting of raw materials and finished goods inventories for\naccuracy.\nMaintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.\nQualified applicants will possess an Associate’s degree and at least one year experience in inventory management or receiving in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and good verbal, written and organizational skills are critical.
