K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.\nOverviewThis is a pro-bono volunteer position.JERSEYSTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (“STEM”) education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities.\nWe partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online after school projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.\nThe Corporate Partnership Development Lead at JerseySTEM serves as a key member of the corporate outreach team, focusing on identifying and engaging potential corporate partners. Working closely with the Corporate Partnership Development Manager, this role requires a proactive approach to establishing connections and building relationships that align with JerseySTEM's mission and objectives.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for a limited number of Corporations of the same general market space (Chemical, Civil, Finance, Services, etc.) to identify critical decision makers, present JerseySTEM’s mission and financial requirements, and facilitate approval and disbursement of funding.\n\nBuild relationships with key Corporate employees.\n\nResearch and identify potential corporate partners, understanding their goals, CSR objectives, and potential alignment with JerseySTEM's programs.\n\nAssist in creating customized partnership proposals that address the specific needs and interests of prospective partners.\n\nProvide marketing ideas and concepts for materials and opportunities for promoting our organization to potential donors.\n\nCommunicate with DEVT leadership on the progress of efforts.\n\nAttend Corporate related activities involving those organizations they are responsible for.\n\nAttend weekly mandatory virtual meetings\n\nDesired Experience and skills\nUnderstanding of Corporate reporting and approval processes. \n\nFamiliarity with a particular market space (e.g., key corporations, industry specific events, industry leaders).\n\nStrong communication skills, friendly, creativity, driven to do volunteer work that is compatible with our mission.\n\nPrevious outreach or cold calling experience is preferred.\n\nAbility to travel to a local Corporation for appropriate in-person presentations and meetings (preferred).\n\nQualifications\nGenuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap\n\nAbility to establish and maintain connections with market space corporations\n\nResourceful, can-do attitude\n\nExperience with Business-to-Business marketing and/or selling\n\nExperience with community outreach, relationship development, not shy on phone or email.\n\nComfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)\n\nWould be a plus if candidate has flexible
