This role oversees a team of 10+ production & field operation professionals while setting the strategic direction, operational standards, and financial performance of the department.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced experiential production leader with deep expertise in mobile tours, event production, and field marketing. This is a player-coach role that requires executive leadership while remaining actively involved in client programs, onsite execution, and new business initiatives.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities\nDepartment Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of Executive Producers through Coordinators, Field Staff Recruiter, DOT Fleet Manager & Field Marketing Managers\nCreate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nOversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and professional development.\nManage department staffing, workload planning, and freelance resources.\nProduction Leadership\nProvide executive oversight for all experiential, event, mobile tour, and field marketing programs.\nEstablish production standards, workflows, and operational best practices.\nOversee complex productions from planning through execution while ensuring exceptional client service.\nServe as the senior escalation point for production challenges and critical decision making.\nDevelop and maintain strategic vendor partnerships while overseeing sourcing and contract negotiations.\nEnsure all programs meet safety, permitting, insurance, compliance, and quality standards.\nBusiness & Financial Leadership\nOwn the Production department's financial performance, including forecasting, profitability, margins, and operational efficiency.\nOversee program budgets and financial planning across the department.\nPartner with Executive Leadership on agency growth, pricing strategy, proposals, client presentations, and new business pitches.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability.\nCross-Functional Partnership\nPartner with Client Services, Creative, Growth, Operations, and Executive Leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences.\nAlign production strategy with agency goals and client objectives.\nSupport agency initiatives that strengthen collaboration and operational excellence.\nHands-On Leadership\nPersonally lead key client programs and high-profile productions when appropriate.\nTravel regularly for client meetings, site visits, and onsite event execution.\nRemain actively engaged in the work while empowering the team to own day-to-day execution.\nQualifications\nHere’s what you got:\n12+ years of experiential marketing and event production experience.\nSignificant leadership experience managing a production department of 10+ employees.\nExpertise producing national mobile tours, live events, field marketing programs, and experiential campaigns.\nStrong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, forecasting, and profitability.\nProven success supporting agency new business efforts through rapid development of production approaches, budgets, timelines, staffing plans, and execution strategies. Experience collaborating closely with Growth teams to bring pitches to life while balancing creativity, feasibility, and profitability.\nProven ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.\nExperience implementing scalable production processes and operational systems.\nStrong knowledge of vendor management, logistics, fabrication, and event operations.\nExperience with Monday.com, Adobe Workfront, or similar project management platforms.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Slack.\nCAD, SketchUp, or Vectorworks experience is a plus.\nWillingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as business needs require.\nBased in the New York metropolitan area with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.\nEqual Opportunities\nJetFuel is an experiential marketing agency that designs and produces live brand experiences across the country.
