The technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electromechanical, and machined assemblies sent in for repair evaluation by our customers. Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by PG Aerotech management.\nEssential Responsibilities\nTest and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.\nMaintain a clean, clutter-free work area.\nCorrectly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).\nWork with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.\nWork with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.\nAssist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician’s work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).\nExperience and Skills\nThe ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.\n2 or more years of similar or related work experience; similar experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair will be considered. \nTechnician candidate must own his or her own set of basic hand tools.\nApplicant must have at the least a moderate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical soldering and/or circuit board level soldering.\nThe ability to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately.\nMust be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.\nApplicants must be able to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions. A pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required.\nInterested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.\nExperience using a computer.\nPunctual and reliable.\nValid driver’s license.\nElectrical or Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience. Machinist experience a plus. \nPhysical Requirements\nThe ability to lift up to 20 lbs.\nManual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other)\nConstant hand manipulation of small to medium \nSitting or standing for long periods of time\nFrequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment\nUse of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED is required.\nAssociates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.\nTrade schooling or related industry experience required.\nA&P certificate is not required (but it is a plus).\nCompensation\nHourly position commensurate with experience and skill level and/or certifications.
