This is a mid-level, hands-on role for a technician who has moved beyond entry-level building maintenance and is ready to take on greater ownership of preventive maintenance programs, more complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and vendor coordination - while continuing to perform daily hands-on repair and upkeep work. The Facilities Technician II reports to the Production Manager and works closely with them to keep all building systems, ground support equipment, and industrial machinery running reliably.\nRequirements\nPerform routine and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and overhead door systems, escalating only the most complex issues to the Facilities Supervisor\nExecute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and help maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and equipment histories in compliance with repair station requirements\nDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic issues on industrial equipment and aviation ground support equipment\nAssist in coordinating third-party vendors and contractors for specialized inspections, certifications, and repairs\nPerform general building maintenance including carpentry, painting, minor structural repairs, and groundskeeping/snow removal as needed\nConduct routine facility and safety inspections, identify hazards or worn components, and proactively address or report them\nSupport the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including production floor, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and grounds\nHelp ensure fire and life-safety systems are functioning correctly and are tested/documented on schedule\nOperate company vehicles and material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) to move tools, parts, and supplies between areas or job sites\nMaintain compliance with FAA Part 145 repair station requirements, OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and applicable building codes\nRespond to maintenance requests from building occupants and prioritize/resolve issues promptly\nExperience and Skills\n2-5 years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related mechanical/electrical trade; aviation, manufacturing, or regulated-facility experience preferred\nWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair common issues\nSome exposure to industrial equipment such as compressed air systems, generators, or pneumatic/hydraulic equipment preferred\nComfortable using hand and power tools safely and effectively, with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the Facilities Supervisor on larger projects\nStrong communication and customer service skills when responding to occupant requests\nAbility to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening as well as a background check\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift at least 50 pounds\nComfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, and in confined spaces, outdoor environments, and varying temperatures\nManual dexterity and ability to constantly manipulate small to medium components\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods\nFrequent use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning/lubricating/painting chemicals\n Education / Licenses / Certifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required;
