We have been in the industry for over 60 years and have\na track record of success.\nwww.jetsonjobs.com\nWhere are we located?\n100 Industrial Drive\nHamburg, PA 19526\nA\nLettershop Machine Operator for JSM’s Operations Group will control and utilizeequipment to produce mail\nproduct (printed material, envelopes, or mail pieces) according to customer’s\nguidelines and standard operating procedures.\nEssential Functions:\n·Prepare\npallets and trays and identify pallet and tray breaks while sorting mail.\n·Read\nproduction orders to determine types, sizes, and codes of items scheduled for printing\nand mailing.\n·Prepare\npaper rolls and load into machine.\n·Put\nmaterial for inserting and envelopes into loading racks on machines.\n·Start\nmachines that automatically fold letters, add inserts, stuff and address\nenvelopes, and segregate destination codes.\n·Observe\nmachine operations in order to detect any malfunctions.\n·Operate\ncomputer-controlled equipment in order to direct items according to established\nrouting schemes.\n·Verify\nthat items are addressed correctly, packaged properly, and in suitable\ncondition for processing.\n·Determine\nmanner in which mail is to be sent and prepare it for delivery to mailing\nfacilities.\n·Lift\nand unload containers of mail or parcels onto equipment for transportation to\nsortation stations.\n·Place\noutgoing letters into bins based on destination or type, and place identifying\ntags on bins.\n·Clear\njams in equipment.\n·Add\nink, fill paste reservoirs, and perform other light maintenance when necessary.\n·Inspect\nmail machine output for defects; determine how to eliminate causes of any\ndefects.\n·Adjust\nguides, rollers, envelopes and insertion bins, using rules and hand tools.\n·Accept\nand check containers of mail material or parcels from material handlers.\n·Quality\ncheck own work and work of others.\n·Deliver\nupon schedules and plans.\n·Maintain\na safe and clean work environment.\n·Report\nand perform assigned duties for entire duration of regularly scheduled shift.\n·Comply\nwith company policies and procedures and promote company values and culture.\nRequirements\nSkilled in Operation Monitoring -Watching\ninventory, packaging, inserting, sorting or other indicators to make sure a\nmachine is working properly. Ability to examine error information on computer\ndisplay screen identify where the problem is located, and then proceed to clear\nthe problem from the machine (i.e. paper jams).\nSkilled in Quality\nControl Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or\nprocesses to evaluate quality or performance. Ability to examine job\ninstructions for appropriate material codes, identify codes on the material at\nthe machine and verify that the correct code is utilized.\nSkilled in Operation\nand Control - controlling operations of equipment or systems.\nSkilled in Reading\nComprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related\ndocuments.\nSkilled in Active Listening\n- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to\nunderstand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not\ninterrupting at inappropriate times.\nNear Vision Ability\n-sees details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).\nStrength and Endurance\nAbility - Lifting up to 50 lbs.; standing, bending, and stooping for\nup to 8 hours; using abdominal and lower back muscles to support\npart of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or\nfatiguing.\nMultilimb Coordination\nAbility -Coordinating two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or\none leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
