An individual in this role will be required to\nset-up, adjust, and maintain machinery to very close tolerances.\nEssential Functions:\n· Respond, locate, identify,\nand troubleshoot sources of problems on mail machines.\n· Provide support, answer\nquestions, and establish effective relationships with operators and other\ntechnicians.\n· Perform timely preventative inspections\nand maintenance on machines, equipment, parts, and supplies.\n· Report to Supervisors on\nperformance of machines, jobs, and operators. Communicate recurring\nequipment malfunctions and corrective action required.\n· Connect with vendors and\nsuppliers for guidance when needed.\n· Conserve maintenance\nresources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job\nresults. Authorized Machine Technicians place orders.\n· Keep a record of all service,\nmaintenance and refurbishing works carried out on the machinery.\n· Comply with company policies\nand procedure.\n· Promote company values and\nculture.\nRequirements\nEducation,\nTraining, and Experience\nHigh school diploma or\nequivalent. Technical school or an Associate’s degree or diploma in\nmechanical engineering or any other related field of study preferred but not\nrequired.\nTwo or more years of experience\nworking in a Machine Technician role.\nOne or more years of\nexperience in a print or mail industry preferred but not required.\nExperience in quality\ncontrol, lean manufacturing, safety, is a plus.\nEssential:\nAbility to demonstrate solid\nmechanical aptitude, such as pulleys, gears, belts, etc.\nAbility to read and interpret\nequipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.\nKnowledge of Occupational\nSafety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and regulations.\nPhysical ability to do work\nrequiring frequent stooping and bending.\nPhysical strength to lift and\ncarry 25
